Shame
In fear, she hid,
In man's plain sight
Her smile was all her shelter
Though eyes were worn
Her chest grew tighter
And though she laughed,
Truth knew it false
For when she passed, again they'd whisper
"What has she done, and where, and whom?"
'Tis sad.

Faith
Oh pray,
Tonight, she fell
From grace
Like a butterfly had clipped her wings
She fell into death's embrace
And yet,
A lover indeed it'd been
For even as she went
She smiled and said it plain once more;
"From him, I gather strength."

I hope that everyone has been well! Here are a couple of new pieces. Short, concise ... and random. Well, maybe I have just been inspired by Dorothy Parker's work! I really recommend searching up a couple of her pieces if you have the time :)
Allons-y!
